2016-02-13 Les Débats de L’Acadie Bilingual Tournament

Dear Debating Coaches,

Please let Martha Shephard Duguay (mshepdug@staff.ednet.ns.ca) know by Friday, February 5th, if you have a team to register at this bilingual tournament to be held at the Ecole du Carrefour in Dartmouth, on Saturday, 13 February.  Please include the names of each team member.

When you register with Martha please let her know your choice of these two topics, which will be debated in the morning in Cross-Ex style to allow for a question period.

Should Monsanto be charged for crimes against humanity?
Monsanto devrait-elle (la compagnie) être poursuivie en cour (inculpée) pour des crimes contre l'humanité?

Is the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) good for Canada?
Le Partenariat trans-Pacifique (PTP) est-il bénéfice pour le Canada?

The afternoon debates will be on a lighter topic decided by the judges and coaches present and will be in Parliamentary style.

Cost is $20 to cover pizza and other tournament expenses.

If you have any other questions, please ask either Martha or me (senga@accesswave.ca).

Look forward to seeing you!  And let's hope we are not snowed out :)

Agnes
